In this course, I will cover the fundamentals of mathematics and build up your foundation by giving intuitive explanations to each topic, showing you real-life uses of each topic and going through examples.

‘Fundamentals of Mathematics’ is organised into 9 lessons and each lesson is separated into small chunks:

  1. Introduction to Numbers
  2. Integers
  3. Negative Integers
  4. Decimals
  5. Addition
  6. Subtraction
  7. Tips/Tricks for Addition and Subtraction
  8. Multiplication
  9. Division

The course is designed to be suitable for a range of people. Either you just want some practice on core fundamental concepts, or you just want to discover more about maths and want to see what maths can do, or you are preparing for an exam. This course will be suitable for you as long as you have the slightest thought about learning a bit more about maths. Even if you don’t want to learn about maths, hop on the course and check out the real-life uses of maths which is interesting to watch.

  • Videos: All videos are recorded in a watch over the shoulder style. Lessons are divided into short videos to keep everyone focussed and to make the learning process lighter and easier. Each lesson will be delivered by first developing an intuition on the topic. Then learning techniques to resolve problems related to the topic. And finally, examples will be shown and discussed to see how the things we learned in the lesson are actually used in real life.
  • Example Sheets (question/answers): As part of the course project and to allow further practise on the topics we discussed during the lesson. Example sheets are provided at the end of each section.
  • Project: As for the course project, there is one incorrect answer given in each example sheet. Your goal is to identify the question number of the incorrect answer. Once you have collected all 9 (incorrect answer) question numbers from the 9 example sheets. You will use it as the password for something, the something will be kept as a secret for now and uploaded at a later date 🙂 So keep an eye on any updates.
